When life feels overwhelming and you’re unsure how to keep going, pause for a moment and try this grounding practice. It’s designed to help you reconnect with your body, calm your mind, and find a sense of safety right here, right now.
Name 5 things you can see around you. Name 4 things you can feel, like the texture of your clothing or the floor under your feet. Name 3 things you can hear in your environment. Name 2 things you can smell (or imagine a scent you love). Name 1 thing you can taste, or take a sip of water or tea. Why it works: This practice anchors you in the present moment, interrupting racing thoughts and reconnecting you to your senses.
